24/7 emergency plumbing Established 2018 NSW Plumbing Lic 322223C St George & Sutherland Shire Residential, commercial & strata

Large facilities run on tight schedules, and plumbing downtime is not an option. EKORP delivers facilities management plumbing across Sydney's south: structured maintenance programs, compliance certification and rapid emergency cover that keeps your building operational when it counts.

We work with facilities managers, strata companies, government agencies and private building owners across St George and the Sutherland Shire. You hand over the schedule, it gets done, and the paperwork comes back clean.

Planned preventative maintenance programs

Reactive repairs cost more than scheduled maintenance. Our PPM programs are built around your facility's asset register and compliance obligations, so you get predictable costs and paper trails that hold up when auditors come knocking.

Where no register exists, we build one during the site assessment, cataloguing plant and fixtures with age and condition data in a standard FM format.

  • Scheduled inspections of pipework, fixtures, valves, backflow devices, water heaters and drainage
  • Live asset register tracking age, condition, service history and replacement dates
  • Backflow testing, TMV servicing and hot water temperature checks on the compliance calendar
  • BMS integration for temperature, pressure and leak alerts

What we handle in managed facilities

Routine maintenance, repairs, new installations, system upgrades: all of it done by licensed plumbers, with disruption to building occupants kept to a minimum. Our vans carry common replacement parts, so most fixture repairs are knocked over in a single visit.

  • Hot water plant servicing with records for Legionella management requirements
  • Scheduled CCTV inspections and high-pressure jetting on drainage
  • Annual backflow device testing, certification and lodgement
  • Tap, toilet and urinal repairs with parts on the van
  • Targeted repairs and upgrades on ageing copper, galvanised and PVC pipework

Compliance audits that hold up

Facilities managers carry legal responsibility for keeping plumbing systems safe and compliant. We carry out the inspections, tests and certifications required by NSW plumbing regulations and hand over documentation that survives an audit.

TMVs in healthcare, aged care and childcare facilities get annual testing and a signed record. NSW Health and the Plumbing Code set hot water delivery temperatures by occupancy type, so we audit your systems and flag dead-legs or cold zones creating Legionella risk. Drainage gets a CCTV condition report with graded defects.

Multi-tenant and strata buildings

Multi-tenant buildings mean shared infrastructure, independent tenants and usage that varies by floor and zone. We work with strata managers and owners corporations on common property plumbing, and we know the approval requirements strata work brings.

Maintenance is planned around peak occupancy, your building manager gets clear notice before we isolate supply to any zone, and every job closes with a written report formatted for your facilities management software.

How the engagement works

Getting started is a three-step process with minimal administrative load on your team, and a written document at each stage before the next begins.

  • Site assessment: a written summary with recommended scope before any commitment
  • Program design: a PPM schedule aligned to your regulatory obligations and operating calendar
  • Ongoing service: emergency cover plus a written report with photos after every visit

Questions

Common questions about facilities management plumbing.

Here are clear answers to common questions. Call us if you need help with something else.

What is backflow prevention and why is it important?

Backflow prevention involves installing approved devices in your plumbing system that physically stop contaminated water from reversing direction and entering your clean drinking water supply. Without these devices, a drop in mains pressure or a rise in property-side pressure can draw whatever is connected to your system, including irrigation water, chemicals or pool water, back into the supply line. Backflow prevention is required by law for many connection types in NSW precisely because the risk to public health is real.

How often should backflow testing be performed?

For most installed backflow prevention devices, annual testing is a mandatory requirement under Sydney Water's guidelines and NSW plumbing regulations. The exact frequency can vary depending on the device class and the hazard level of the connection, but annual as a minimum is the standard for RPZD, DCV and DCDA devices. After each test, a signed certificate must be submitted to the relevant water authority.

How often should thermostatic mixing valves be serviced or replaced?

Requirements can vary by property and authority. We will help you confirm what applies before work begins. This annual inspection confirms the valve is still delivering water within the correct temperature range. With proper maintenance, a quality valve typically lasts 5 to 7 years before internal components need replacement. Full valve replacement is generally recommended after 10 to 15 years, depending on local water quality, usage patterns and the results of annual testing.

Who pays for plumbing repairs in a strata scheme?

The owners corporation pays for common property, which includes shared risers, roof and balcony drainage, and any pipe serving more than one lot. A lot owner pays for plumbing and fixtures that sit inside their own lot and serve only that lot. Section 106 of the Strata Schemes Management Act 2015 sets the owners corporation's general duty to maintain and repair common property.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

Any fault that is actively damaging your property or creating a safety risk qualifies. This includes burst or cracked pipes, major water leaks, sewage backing up, a gas leak, a completely failed hot water system, and severe drain blockages where water cannot drain at all. If you are unsure whether your situation can wait until business hours, call us and describe what you are seeing. We will give you an honest assessment.

How much does an emergency plumber cost in Sydney?

We inspect the job and confirm the price before work begins. Callout charges are confirmed before booking. The after-hours rate covers arrival and initial assessment, and you receive a fixed quote before any work begins.
