24/7 emergency plumbing Established 2018 NSW Plumbing Lic 322223C St George & Sutherland Shire Residential, commercial & strata

A plumbing emergency in the Shire moves fast: a burst pipe can dump hundreds of litres into a Cronulla home in minutes, and a root-blocked sewer in Engadine does not care that it is Sunday. EKORP Plumbing is based at Bayside Plaza, Brighton-Le-Sands NSW 2216 and services Sydney's south.

Beachside and bush-edge suburbs fail in different ways, and we carry gear for both: materials suited to salt-affected pipework near the water, and CCTV and jetting equipment for the root-bound clay drains further inland. Most emergencies are sorted in a single visit.

What goes wrong in Shire homes

Beachside properties in Cronulla and Caringbah cop salt-accelerated pipe corrosion that brings pipes down early. Older clay and earthenware drains in Engadine, Heathcote and Kirrawee are easy pickings for gum-tree roots. Add high mains pressure in some Miranda streets and cold Engadine nights stressing exposed pipework, and the Shire keeps an emergency crew busy year round.

  • Salt-corroded pipework in beachside Cronulla and Caringbah
  • Tree roots in older Engadine and Heathcote clay drains
  • High mains pressure wearing fittings in Miranda
  • Cold-night pipe stress in Engadine and Heathcote
  • Hot water failures mid-winter

One van, most fixes, first visit

Each van runs as a mobile workshop: CCTV cameras, high-pressure jetters, acoustic leak detectors and a stock of the parts Shire homes most often need, including hot water components for Rinnai, Rheem, Bosch and Dux units.

Hidden leaks under slabs or inside walls are found with acoustic detection and thermal imaging rather than by opening up every wall, so the repair stays small and the damage bill stays low. Suspected gas leaks go straight to the front of the queue.

Emergency plumbing availability

We cover the Shire top to bottom, beachside suburbs through to the bush-edge communities: Cronulla, Caringbah, Miranda, Sutherland, Engadine, Heathcote, Gymea, Kirrawee, Menai, Bangor, Jannali and Illawong. A licensed plumber stays on call through weekends and public holidays, so you are not sitting with a flooded kitchen floor waiting for Monday.

What it costs after hours

You get a clear quote before we touch anything, whatever the hour. After-hours rates apply for evenings, weekends and public holidays, and we tell you the rate before anyone heads out. Callout charges are confirmed before booking.

EKORP stepped in immediately with no fuss. Within less than an hour, they’d contacted my real estate agent and had a plumber (Nick) show up at my door. What could have been very stressful was made smooth and easy.

Questions

Common questions about emergency plumbing.

Here are clear answers to common questions. Call us if you need help with something else.

Can you reach Cronulla or Miranda for an emergency?

Absolutely. Cronulla, Miranda, Caringbah, Sutherland, Engadine, and Gymea are all within our standard service area for after-hours emergency work. Call 02 8667 5354 and we will give you an accurate estimated arrival time based on where our nearest plumber is located at the time of your call.

Can you handle all types of plumbing emergencies?

Yes. Our after-hours team covers burst pipes, gas leaks, blocked drains, hot water failures, overflowing toilets, sewage backups, roof and stormwater drainage issues, and hidden pipe leaks. Our vans carry a broad selection of parts and tools for first-visit resolution. We do not outsource emergency work.

How do I know if I have a gas leak?

Gas suppliers add a chemical odorant that produces a distinct rotten egg or sulphur smell. You may also hear a faint hissing near a pipe joint, appliance connection, or metre. Dead or discoloured vegetation near an underground gas line can indicate a slow ground-level leak. If you notice any of these signs, leave the property immediately, avoid all switches and open flames, and call us from a safe distance. Contact your gas provider as well.

What should I do while waiting for the plumber?

For a water leak or burst pipe, shut off the main supply valve as soon as possible to limit damage. For a gas leak, do not operate any switches or appliances. Open windows if you can do so without touching electrical switches, leave the building, and call both us and your gas provider from outside. For a blocked drain, stop using water-dependent fixtures in the affected area. In any situation involving water damage, photograph everything before you start mopping up.
