Pipe relining fixes a broken pipe without digging it up. A resin-saturated liner goes into your existing pipe through an access point that is already there, gets inflated against the wall, and cures into a hard, jointless new pipe inside the old one. Sydney's south runs on decades-old clay and cast iron lines, and this is how we fix them without wrecking what sits above.

Every EKORP relining job starts with a CCTV inspection so you see exactly what is broken and why, and finishes with a second camera run, a flow test and a certification pack you can hand to a buyer or an insurer.

How trenchless pipe relining works

The process is set, and it runs the same way on every job. The camera goes down first to map every crack and root intrusion. High-pressure jetting then scours the pipe wall clean, because the epoxy bonds directly to the host pipe and a dirty surface means a failed bond. We measure the run, cut a liner to length, saturate it with two-part epoxy, and winch or invert it into position.

An inflation bladder presses the liner against the pipe interior, the resin fills every crack and void, and curing takes three to four hours. Once hard, the liner is a standalone structural pipe that no longer relies on the original to hold its shape.

  • CCTV inspection maps the damage before quoting
  • High-pressure jetting preps the pipe wall
  • Liner cut, saturated and inserted through existing access
  • Inflated against the wall and cured in three to four hours
  • Final camera run and flow test confirm the result

What pipe relining can fix

Relining covers far more than a straight sewer run. Main sewer lines under driveways, branch lines from 40mm up, boundary traps, underground stormwater drains, downpipe connections and even vertical waste stacks in multi-storey buildings can all be relined from existing access points, with no wall or floor demolition and no machinery on the lawn.

  • Boundary trap repairs
  • Underground stormwater drains and downpipe connections
  • Stormwater detention system lines
  • Vertical stacks in multi-storey buildings

What pipe relining costs in Sydney

We inspect the job and confirm the price before work begins. The per-metre figure runs higher than basic replacement pipe, but total project cost typically lands 20 to 40 percent below excavation once concrete cutting, machine hire, spoil removal, backfill and surface reinstatement are counted. Callout charges are confirmed before booking.

Certified, warranted, transferable

You get a certification package with before-and-after camera footage, liner product data and our licence details. We will explain the workmanship warranty that applies to the job before work begins. That makes a relined pipe a documented asset, not just a repair record.

Questions

Common questions about pipe relining.

Here are clear answers to common questions. Call us if you need help with something else.

Does EKORP offer pipe relining as an alternative to excavation?

Yes. Pipe relining (CIPP) creates a new pipe inside the damaged one without digging up the yard or breaking concrete. Suitable for cracked clay sewer lines, root-damaged pipes and collapsed sections. We will explain the workmanship warranty that applies to the job before work begins. We inspect the job and confirm the price before work begins.

How long does pipe relining take?

Most residential jobs wrap up in one to two days. Liner cure takes three to four hours. Preparation, insertion, final CCTV check and documentation fill the rest of the time. Compare that to dig-and-replace which often runs five days or more once surface reinstatement is counted.

How long does pipe relining last once tree roots are removed?

Pipe relining closes every joint and crack in the relined section, which is why EKORP treats it as the permanent fix for root intrusion rather than a stopgap. We will explain the workmanship warranty that applies to the job before work begins.

Do tree roots damage a healthy sewer pipe?

No. A sound pipe with tight joints and no cracks gives tree roots nothing to grab onto. Roots follow the moisture leaking from an existing fault, a failed joint, a hairline crack or old damage, and enter through that gap. The fault causes the root intrusion, not the other way around.

How long do stormwater repairs typically last?

The lifespan of a stormwater repair depends heavily on the repair method and materials used. We will explain the workmanship warranty that applies to the job before work begins. Pipe relining using current resin systems is rated to 50-plus years. The factors most likely to shorten repair life in Sydney's south are clay soil movement, continued tree root pressure, and significant changes to surface water loading on the property.
