The right pump for the property
Pump selection depends on the property, not the brochure. Two-storey homes usually need a booster set to hold proper pressure at upstairs taps and showers. Larger bushland blocks around Engadine, Heathcote and Menai often pair a rainwater pump with a dedicated garden booster. On the coast at Cronulla and Caringbah, salt air attacks pump fittings faster, so we specify marine-grade or salt-tolerant components.

Three steps, no guesswork. First a diagnostic inspection: pump, controller and pipework checked, then electrical, flow, pressure and switching tested, with findings documented in photos. Second, a written scope and quote with the duty, head and flow calculations shown, which you can authorise or defer on your terms. Third, the install or repair itself, using duty-rated parts, valves, level controls and alarms, with commissioning to confirm flow, pressure and control before we close out.

Do I need a booster pump for my two-storey home?
If you have low mains pressure or rely on a rainwater tank, often yes. Two-storey homes typically need around 200 kPa minimum at upstairs fixtures, and a properly sized booster set delivers that consistently. We test mains pressure first and only recommend a booster if it is genuinely needed.
How often should residential pumps be serviced?
Rainwater and booster pumps benefit from an inspection every 12 to 24 months. Sump and stormwater pumps should be tested before the wet season each year. Macerator pumps in basement bathrooms need an annual check. We can set up a service schedule and records for your property.
Can you install a sewage or macerator pump for a basement bathroom?
Yes. Basement bathrooms and below-floor laundries need a sewage pump or macerator to lift effluent up to the gravity sewer line. Requirements can vary by property and authority. We will help you confirm what applies before work begins.
