Is gas cooktop installation covered under home insurance?
Standard home and contents insurance in Australia does not cover the cost of routine installation or appliance connection. Damage caused by a faulty gas installation (fire, explosion, property damage) is typically covered, provided the original work was carried out by a licensed gasfitter and a Certificate of Compliance was issued. What is the difference between a gas bayonet fitting and a hard-piped connection?

Does a plumber need to turn off the water to replace a mixer tap?
